Keep the Case File open

After each major unlock, glance at suspect roles and alibis. Detective Duck cases are built so the map puzzles and the accusation are two halves of one loop — finishing locks without reading statements is how players soft-lock themselves into a guess.

Magnifying Glass habit

Any time the prompt hints at tiny marks — footprints, wall ticks, stains, keypad smudges — equip the Magnifying Glass before you move on. Several Prison clues only exist at that zoom level.

Private servers help when a friend is learning Prison for the first time: pause at each checklist item, confirm the tool is in inventory, then move. That teaching loop is faster than wiping a wrong accusation badge later.

If the keypad rejects the code

Confirm you are still on Prison, clear the field, and re-enter digits only. Some doors share a UI with other cases but use different strings.
